Cultivation Technician

AGMEDICA is currently seeking an experienced Cultivation Technician for their Chatham-Kent facility. Reporting to the Master Grower, the Cultivation Technician will understand and effectively use grow and cultivation techniques for cannabis production to enhance quality, safety and efficacy through all stages of the plant production-cycle.


As Cultivation Technician, you will:

  • Always adhere to AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all stages of the grow and cultivation process;
  • Daily, follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for safety during all grow and cultivation operations;
  • Familiar with and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR);
  • Ensure proper sanitation of equipment and production areas, activate fertilisation and irrigation system;
  • Monitor all cannabis products, ensuring product is free from risk of contamination at all stages of production, from vegetative to drying;
  • Familiar with pest and pathogen controls;
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, production problems and contamination risks;
  • Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team, follow checks and balances for quality, efficacy, and safety; minimizing contamination and waste of product;
  • Working as a member of the cultivation team, perform safe and effective growing, pruning, harvesting, and drying of cannabis product;
  • Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness.


Position Requirements:

  • Post secondary Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture and/or any other related discipline an asset.
  • 1-2 years experience in a cannabis, vegetable, or nursery grow operation.
  • Experience in the cultivation of cannabis or other sensitive commercial crops is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics and the English language.
  • Must be able to work under intense lighting, with strong odours, and in humid temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in environments with the presence of pollen, molds, mildew, insects, and plant debris.
  • Must be bondable.

General Labourer

AGMEDICA is currently seeking an experienced General Labourer to work in a large cutting-edge commercial facility, utilizing work practices that ensure quality, efficacy, and safety, adhering to all AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures.


As a General Labourer, you will:

  • Always adhere to AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all stages of the build out phase.
  • Remove debris and trash at construction sites through wheelbarrows and other equipment;
  • Load and unload building materials and move materials towards working areas;
  • Ensure all equipment is in operating condition before use;
  • Preform daily site maintenance tasks to ensure to site is clean;
  • Adhere to work schedule and perform duties with a high degree of quality;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards procedure;
  • Work with the Operations team, performing safe work practices and daily tasks, follow work schedules and maintain good attendance;
  • Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere across all departments;
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure;
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor;
  • Adhere to work schedule and perform duties with a high degree of quality.


Position Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience in construction is considered an asset;
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time;
  • Must be bondable.


Physical Demands:

  • On occasion, lift weight up to 80lbs, push and pull carts
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, balance, walk, reach with arms and hands, as well as repeated bending, lifting, twisting and stretching
  • May require standing for long periods of time, stand for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift,
  • Capable of climbing on ladders


Working Conditions:

  • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate to loud, increases when equipment is engaged.
  • Personal Protective Equipment needs to be worn as required
  • Work at heights
  • Work regular hours, however, may be required to work evenings and on weekends, sometimes at short notice, especially in times of need for AGMEDICA.

Western Canada Sales Representative (BC)

AGMEDICA is currently seeking a Sales Representative for their Western Canada Territories. Working under the direction of the Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Western Canada, the Sales Representative will be a self-driven individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment as the connection between AgMedica and Provincial Cannabis Outlets and retail streams. They will be responsible for creating and developing a comprehensive plan to establish the company’s brand within the provinces and territories. Through strategic sales plans and negotiations with existing external contacts and potential new sales outlets, the sales representative will provide AgMedica product education, training and customer service. The Sales Representative will be someone who can excel at building trust and maintaining strong ties with the recreational cannabis community, and other retail focused centers, while also increasing accessibility and recommendation of AgMedica products to maximize sales growth.


As Sales Representative you will:

  • Always adhere to AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
  • Understand and follow the Cannabis Act and its regulations;
  • Achieve sales growth in accordance with established, budgeted goal and overall Plan of Action;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, complete regular and effective customer visits to all targeted contacts in designated sales territory, routinely service retail and online centers to educate and obtain maximum support for AgMedica products;
  • Identify and service retail outlets in the sales territory, obtain maximum distribution of company products;
  • Attend and successfully complete training on products to understand the various strains, product forms and accessories of AgMedica offerings;
  • Prepare and maintain records for all customer contacts, history of service provided, new leads and progress status of job orders utilizing a CRM system. 
  • Educate external partners on product features and benefits based on analysis of customer's needs, level of adoption and general understanding of the cannabis class;
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions, lunch and learns, and trade shows as required;
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies and implement brand tactics to ensure a consistent and resonant sales message; collaborate on pricing schedules and promotions;
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for team, at times present materials to executive team;
  • Provide market intel and trend information back to senior management
  • Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up to date with the latest trends and information in the recreational cannabis field.
  • Stay abreast of AgMedica product developments, and provide frequent updates and training to the client;
  • Work closely with supply chain team.


Position Requirements:

  • Post Secondary in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or work-related experience.
  • 2-3 years Experience in Sales position, preference given to those from the pharmaceutical or specialty foods industry.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of the English language.

Security Guard - Cannabis

AgMedica Bioscience Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Security Guard for their Chatham-Kent facility . Reporting to the General Manager, the Security Guard will be accountable for understanding and effectively using the AgMedica security systems for complete facility security tracking, camera operation, alarm monitoring, visitor and personnel observation and monitoring transfer of cannabis product.


As Security Guard, you will:

  • Always adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure safety, efficacy, and quality, in all security protocols and operations;
  • Ensure all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations are followed, including the Criminal Code of Canada and the Private Security and Investigative Services Act;
  • Familiar with and follow the Cannabis act and its regulation;
  • Responsible for administering access credentials, keys and security pass codes/combinations, ensure Bio-security measures are followed;
  • Operate the electronic access control and door alarm monitoring system;
  • Administration and operation of the Intercom, Telecommunications and Remote Door Entry Systems;
  • Monitor Intrusion Detection System and Alarm Response;
  • Maintain and observe the Closed-Circuit Video Surveillance (CCVS) System;
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, security issues and surveillance breakdown; ability to critically think, and explore all angles to troubleshoot, using an investigative mindset;
  • Work with security team in performing regular inspections of the interior and exterior facility;
  • Complete security incident reports;
  • Perform searches of employee and contractor belongings to prevent the illicit diversion of cannabis.


Position Requirements:

  • Post secondary Diploma in Police Foundations/Law and Security and/or any other related discipline.
  • Current Security Guard License with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
  • Experience working in security, including involvement with surveillance equipment and software, such as audio and video equipment.
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of the English language.
  • Must be bondable and pass a Health Canada Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to work in environments with the presence of pollen, molds, mildew, insects, and plant debris
  • Certified in First Aid and CPR.
