Dr. Trevor Henry, B.Sc, DVM

Chief Executive Officer

Upon graduation from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 1992, Dr. Henry moved to Southwestern Ontario where, as the founding partner and President of the Chatham-Kent Veterinary Professional Corporation, he guided development of one of the largest veterinary practices in Ontario consisting of five facilities and approximately fifty employees. Dr. Henry has been very involved with the development of standard operating protocols, management and business planning. Dr. Henry has various other business interests including running a farming operation.

Peter Van Mol, CPA, CA, BBA

Chief Financial Officer

Peter brings over 25 years of experience in corporate finance. He started his career with a national accounting firm focusing on clients primarily in the agricultural sector including co-operatives, credit unions and mutual insurance companies.  In 1998, he joined a diversified and growing agricultural company as Controller, and eventually as Vice President, Finance, responsible for Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Risk Management, helping grow the business nearly tenfold to revenues of $80 million.

Jeremy Buitenhuis

Chief Operating Officer

Jeremy joined his family’s construction firm, eventually rising to the position of President of the multi-million dollar Ontario firm.  In 2007, he left his role as President to oversee a multi-million dollar construction expansion that created the largest mushroom farm in Canada.  Upon completion of the project, he took on the role of Operations Manager with responsibility for over 500 employees and revenues in excess of $40 million.  His in-depth knowledge of indoor agricultural growing techniques has driven the development and implementation of food safety programs, energy efficiencies and business planning.  In 2015, Jeremy co-founded Crosshair Ventures, a think tank that focuses on creating and implementing technologies for the agricultural industry specifically for reducing labour and energy consumption and for increasing efficiencies.

Art Vander Pol


Art has over 35 years of extensive agricultural production experience. As Vice President, Mushroom Operations and Vice President, Special Projects at one of the most innovative and diversified family-farm operations in southwestern Ontario, he was responsible for the development and oversight of initiatives that enabled the expansion of operations and products. Art demonstrated a proven ability to recognize inefficiencies and improve productivity, resulting in growing the business into the largest mushroom producer in Canada with over 1000 employees and 5 locations across the country.

Nick Roberts, B.S. Pharm, R.Ph

Chief Quality Assurance Officer

Nick has over 10 years of retail pharmacy experience owning and operating an independent pharmacy with approximately 20 employees. He has been involved in the development and implementation of a methadone maintenance program in an under-serviced area as well as a compounding service at the pharmacy. He also helped implement a retail pharmacy based central fill dispensary. Nick has been an active preceptor for pharmacy students from the University of Waterloo and University of Toronto. He has also been a preceptor for registered pharmacy technicians from various colleges.

Vince Quiquero, Ph.D.

Chief Scientific Officer

Vince has over 20 years of experience spanning early product development to commercialization.  A proven leader with a track record of tying together the science, regulatory and business aspects of a given situation in order to define strategic direction for companies, programs and projects. This has resulted in the commercialization of numerous products with big and small pharma, nutritional and consumer goods companies.

Vince started his career as a Research Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Over his 8+ years with GSK he held positions of increasing responsibility in various departments including Pharmaceutical Research, Pharmaceutical Science (product development), New Business Development and Global Manufacturing and Supply. Following this Vince joined Eli Lilly where for over 4 years he led the Canadian research laboratories, as the Associate Director of the Lilly Laboratories for Analytical Research and Bioanalytical Research, in the development of small molecules and bioproducts.

Vince was a member of the Executive Team at Accucaps Industries Ltd. for almost 10 years, with various responsibilities over time for Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Research and Development.  During this time, he defined and implemented the strategy to transform Accucaps from a Contract Manufacturing Organization, which manufactured predominately commodity OTC and consumer products, into an FDA approved Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization that develops products for big and small pharma as well as delivering novel in-house development.


Owen Van Cauwenberghe, Ph.D.

Owen brings 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector with a wide range of industry expertise in brand and generic strategic definition, organizational design, product development, project management, analytical development, formulation development, product innovation and commercialization. In addition, his strong ties to the academic space, as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Waterloo School of Pharmacy, give him a unique mix of research understanding and industrial execution to effectively evaluate potential and drive the value growth of ideas, assets and business for clients and partners.
Owen started his career as a research scientist at Eli Lilly Canada where he had positions of increasing responsibility from Associate Senior Scientist through Group Leader and finally as Associate Director of the Canadian Analytical Research Laboratories where he led the development of small and large molecule therapeutics. Owen held multiple Director level roles at Accucaps Industries Ltd., where he grew and delivered a global product, capability and technology development portfolio through leadership of formulation, analytical, innovation and project management organizations.

Bruce MacEachern, B.Sc, B.Comm (hons)

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Bruce brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical leadership experience in sales, marketing and capability development across several Fortune 500 research-based pharmaceutical companies. He has an impressive track record for building high performance teams, executing strategic people development initiatives and connecting with customers to surpass sales and revenue goals within challenging healthcare environments. He has also worked with global teams and brings a broad and comparative understanding of key business drivers – pricing, access, the evolving customer mix and the patient journey. Bruce is also a certified business coach and a supporter of continuous learning within organizations. He is a believer that investing in skills and knowledge will afford employees a unique expertise, and customers, the most credible and valuable service and support possible.

Gregory Gawne

Vice President, Operations

Gregory has over 30 years of experience in business development, sales and marketing and operations, the last 17 years of which have been within the agricultural markets, specifically horticulture.  Most recently, he has worked as a consultant delivering energy conservation initiatives to the greenhouse and legal cannabis industries. Greg’s broad understanding and exceptional communication within the horticultural community has also provided him with valued and important contacts in the industrial, health care, commercial, institutional, and municipal markets.  Gregory has also managed exclusive distributor networks, roll outs of multi-country sales plans, including participation at trade shows globally.  His business experience has taken him across Western Europe, China, USA and Canada.

Cayley de Brouwer, B.B.A; J.D.

General Counsel

Cayley started her legal career in the legal department at RM Sotheby’s before moving into private practice for a number of years. There she acted for businesses across a diverse range of industries and gained broad corporate law experience.  She joined AgMedica in the spring of 2018 and has been working closely with the executive team on business development, employment, corporate governance, and regulatory/compliance matters.

Cayley comes from an agribusiness background and is also actively involved in her family’s farming operation.
