AGMEDICA is currently seeking an experienced Cultivation Technician for their Chatham-Kent facility.  Reporting to the Master Grower, the Cultivation Technician will understand and effectively use grow and cultivation techniques for cannabis production to enhance quality, safety and efficacy through all stages of the plant production-cycle.

As Cultivation Technician, you will:

  • Always adhere to AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all stages of the grow and cultivation process;
  • Daily, follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for safety during all grow and cultivation operations;
  • Familiar with and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR);
  • Ensure proper sanitation of equipment and production areas, activate fertilisation and irrigation system;
  • Monitor all cannabis products, ensuring product is free from risk of contamination at all stages of production, from vegetative to drying;
  • Familiar with pest and pathogen controls;
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, production problems and contamination risks;
  • Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team, follow checks and balances for quality, efficacy, and safety; minimizing contamination and waste of product;
  • Working as a member of the cultivation team, perform safe and effective growing, pruning, harvesting, and drying of cannabis product;
  • Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness.

Position Requirements:

  • Post secondary Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture and/or any other related discipline an asset.
  • 1-2 years experience in a cannabis, vegetable, or nursery grow operation.
  • Experience in the cultivation of cannabis or other sensitive commercial crops is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of mathematics and the English language.
  • Required to complete an “Essential Physical Abilities Report” meeting the minimum requirements as determined by AGMEDICA.
  • Must be able to work at heights, under intense lighting, with strong odours, and in humid temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in environments with the presence of pollen, molds, mildew, insects, and plant debris.
  • Must be bondable.

AgMedica is currently seeking an experienced Processing Technician for their Chatham-Kent facility. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for working in a large cutting-edge commercial grow facility, utilizing techniques that ensure quality, efficacy, and safety, adhering to all AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Processing Technician will perform all tasks in the cannabis grow, processing and packaging sequence, including transplanting, nutrient administration, the plant life cycle – pruning, flowering, harvesting, drying, and packaging. Other duties may include supporting the grow team with irrigation and LED light monitoring, creating barriers for pest and pathogen infestation, and working as a cooperative member of the operations team.

As Processing Technician, you will:

  • Always adhere to AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all stages of the grow, processing, and packaging process;
  • Daily, follow all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for safety during all grow, cultivation, and packaging operations;
  • Familiar with and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR);
  • Barcode each cannabis plant, from the vegetative room to the final harvested bulk cannabis products;
  • Ensure proper sanitation of equipment and production areas, when requested activate fertilisation and irrigation systems as directed by Master Grower or Assistant Grower;
  • Working with the production and processing teams, monitor all cannabis products;
  • Have foresight to recognize potential hazards, production problems and contamination risks;
  • Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team, follow checks and balances for quality, efficacy, and safety;
  • Working as a member of the production and processing teams, perform safe and effective growing, pruning, harvesting, drying, weighing and packaging of cannabis product;
  • Destroy plant debris and waste products, recording data;
  • Document in the Batch Production Record (BPR) and associated forms for each cannabis lot;
  • Follow and apply appropriate control measures to prevent the combining of cannabis lots and batches;
  • Maintain a clean working environment, possessing an attitude of high standards of cleanliness;
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn;
  • Monitor inventory of growing, cultivation, and packaging supplies;
  • Verify packaging material is accurate and matched to specifications (labels, forms);
  • Ensure all aspects of the packaged product are compliant to specifications;

Position Requirements:

The Client Care Representative, under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager, will process and verify client documents, advise on product and services available, adhere to regulations regarding confidentiality, and always conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism. At all times, the Client Care Representative must be aware of what is happening within the Company’s product lines, be patient and well spoken when communicating, and abide by company policies: following PIPEDA (The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), and the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purpose Regulations; including Bill C-45.

Major Duties:

  • Always adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure quality and efficacy in all client service activities;
  • Familiar with and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR), including Bill C-45 as it pertains to client care;
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to clients. Retain all new clients through outstanding client care needs;
  • Be an effective listener: support patient inbound inquiries through phone, email, website and provide timely turnaround of answers and solutions;
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with clients while articulating our product line;
  • Answer incoming calls and messages from clients, providing support, guidance, education, and answering questions, including supporting them in their cannabis selection and ordering;
  • Register patients by processing required documents;
  • Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of client registration information and order records; corresponding with healthcare professionals, pharmacists and clinics;
  • Following PIPEDA, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in all aspects of client data handling;
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s concern;
  • Initiate required action for response to patient service requests including maintaining patient files and communicating information to the appropriate division.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary education in Medical Administration, Customer Service or pertinent work experience.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in Customer Service, Retail, or Medical/Pharmaceutical Administration.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of the English language.
  • Call center experience is considered an asset.
  • Multilingualism is considered a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in the cannabis space considered an asset but not required.

AGMEDICA is currently looking to bring a Quality Assurance Associate on board for their Chatham-Kent location. The Quality Assurance Associate will aid in implementing and maintaining quality systems and procedures; utilizing Good Production Practices (GPP) and having superior knowledge of compliance requirements set by Health Canada, the Quality Assurance Associate will ensure quality, efficacy, and safety of product and systems. The Quality Assurance Associate will always follow and advise on AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation. Working under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, perform all tasks, including validation protocols and reports, risk management, participate in inspections, audits and deviation report writing, and work as a cooperative member of the quality assurance team.

Major Duties:

  • Always adhere to AGMEDICA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all quality assurance protocols and operations;
  • Ensure all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations for compliance are implemented and followed during all production, processing, packaging, and maintenance operations;
  • Know and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR)
  • Implement and maintain various quality programs and systems, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Production Practices (GPP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF);
  • Carry out production, process, and analytical testing activities;
  • Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing strategies for standard operating procedures, references, and records using software systems;
  • Perform quality compliance audits and advise on system improvements;
  • Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented and documented appropriately;
  • Provide reports from document control and inventory systems as required by the ACMPR;
  • Review and assess delivery of goods upon arrival;
  • Investigate and review any concerns regarding contamination of product.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or a related field.
  • 1-3 years experience in a Quality Assurance role or relevant field, preference given to individuals with plant chemistry, plant production, and extraction systems knowledge.
  • Previous work experience with a Licensed Producer (LP) is considered an asset.
  • Strong IT knowledge and skills, including superior use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Experience in validation and qualification reporting is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate necessary comprehension of the English language

You will be responsible for creating and developing a comprehensive plan to establish the company’s brands within the assigned territory through strategic coverage of targeted healthcare professional contacts and potential sales outlets. By providing cannabis education, training and customer service, you are someone who can excel at building trust and maintaining strong ties with the medical community, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, other health focused centers while also increasing accessibility and recommendation of AgMedica products to maximize sales growth.

As Medical Care Liaison, you will:

  • Always adhere to AgMedica Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to obtain quality, efficacy and safety in all education and sales activities;
  • Understand and follow the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulation (ACMPR);
  • Oversee all educational and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of AgMedica;
  • Achieve sales growth in accordance with established, budgeted goal and overall Plan of Action;
  • Complete regular and effective customer visits to all targeted contacts in the territory;
  • Routinely service clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and other public health centers across the territory to educate and obtain maximum support for AgMedica products;
  • Identify and service select retail outlets in the territory, obtaining maximum distribution of company products and information on the purchases of company and competitive products;
  • Attend and successfully complete training of products to understand the various aspects of medical cannabis;
  • Educate and provide in-service events regarding AgMedica’s products to targeted Specialists, General & Family Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists and other allied health care professionals across the community setting;
  • Prepare and maintain records for all customer calls, new leads and progress status of calls;
  • Emphasize product features and benefits based on analysis of customer’s needs, level of adoption and general understanding of the cannabis class;
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, training sessions and trade shows as required;
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies and implement brand tactics;
  • Pursue continuous learning and professional development, stay up to date with the latest clinical information in the medical cannabis field;
  • Stay abreast of AgMedica product developments, and provide frequent updates and training to the client;
  • Appropriately review emerging data with Healthcare Professionals;
  • Provide company with an understanding of regional Healthcare Professionals.

Position Requirements:

  • Post-secondary in health care is required and/or any other related discipline.
  • 3-5 years working experience as a healthcare professional in the areas of pharmaceutical sales, nursing or other health care field.
  • Knowledge of medicinal cannabis, its product attributes with regards to treatment of disease, pain, etc., and the industry is considered an asset.
  • Familiar with study protocol and data analysis, preference given to individuals with knowledge of the latest relevant evidence-based medical information in the cannabis class.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
